Holy OPEC, batman!

I just paid $1.53/gallon for regular unleaded, and I know Atlanta has some of the lowest priced gasoline in the country. What the hell are the rest of you paying?

Actually, I am really curious. What do y'all pay for gasoline/petrol? Here is a currency converter if you're outside the US.

(for the metrically inclined, 1 US Gallon = 3.79 liters, that works out to around US$0.40/liter)

Between Iraq and Venezuela, I think we're going to have to go back to horses. At least grass is relatively inexpensive.

It's hovering around 1 EUR per liter here... so roughly $1.05 or something a liter... so a lot more than the US, be happy. Germany is expensive.

Wow! That is very expensive. I remember reading that during the first Gulf War, gasoline was so expensive in Greece that they would turn the car off and coast downhill, then start the car again.

I came hopping by and read a bit in your journal: Hello :)

And I figured I'd add my 2 cents worth:
I'm from the Netherlands and it's even more expensive here than it is in Germany; It's €1.10 (=$1.18) and more per liter right now. So your 40cts sounds like a great price to me ;)
I actually put gasoline with octane (spelling??) 98 in my motorcycle and that is up between €1.16 and €1.24 per liter in Utrecht right now.
Maybe I should go take my motorcycle roadtrip in the usa right now afterall....
