In other news, Christey and I have been noticing a slowdown in the internet the last few days. I just checked out my wireless router, and lo and behold, there were two units attached to it. Since my computer goes directly into the back of the router (wired, not wireless), it looks like we might have picked up a hitchhiker.

Serves me right for not locking down the AP, but then, we're on the 7th floor, with concrete between each condo. I WEPed the sucker, and now we only have one connection attached (Christey's), so maybe our connection will go back to its breezy cablemodemness again.

Wow. With all you know I am shocked some folks snuck on to your line. Let's hope it ws a foley type.

I WPA'd mine with a 13 digit key. And I think you would dig the key I picked if I could share it

What's shocking should be that I was dumb enough that I had the thing wide open.

Heh, I've seen some interesting keys. My favorite is a geek-boy's 26 digit WEP key: 69696969696969696969696969

Where I used to work, it was 0123456789abcdefg0123456789 which was super annoying to enter into mobile devices =P

Yeah, I hatehatehate putting in 26-digit hex WEP codes into PDAs. I used to work for Symbol, who makes a bunch of 'em, and I had to do it all the time. They used random codes, too, so I always transposed a couple, or left one out... bah.

Nah mine is not so obvious. You'd have to know movies and music and couple that with producers and my interests and then, you'd be close enough to never figure it out--but then when hearing it you'd go OHHHHHHHhhh
