Out of consideration for the west coast, please don't click if you are the girl with kaleidoscope eyes...

(Just kidding, doll, I love ya, but don't click ;)

I'm not surprised that Elliott is gone, but I was really surprised by the close votes.

I agree with Randy (yesterday) that Kat knows the kind of singer she wants to be, but isn't quite there yet. That doesn't mean she won't get there, and live is always sooooo much different from studio, but so far, I think Kat's major star quality is the ability to smile widely and sing at the same time. That said...her "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was just plain amazing, and I'm glad she'll be there next week.

Taylor has the same live vs. studio problem. I think his album will be really, really good because his producers will be sitting on him to keep him still for the month or two it will take to record. That said, Taylor's Doobie Brothers song tonight was just plain smoking.

Surprised by what? I think I'm missing something...

Yeah, me too.
Remind me not to go online after taking a sleeping pill.

Email was coming in as I was replying to comments, so I kept flipping back and forth. I could have been responding to an email, and not your post, for all I know. Sorry. :(

Thank you. :) It was much appreciated.

I watched, THEN clicked.

I still think that Chris should have won, but since that is outta my hands, I am glad it was Elliott to go home tonight. He was the weakest of the three, I think. They each have weaknesses, but his music wasn't the most popular, and that hurt him.

McPhee should win, out of the two, I think. She has more of a range, and is more polished. I wish I liked her personality better. She did a kick ass job with the rainbow tune last night, no doubt.

Taylor still seems like a wedding singer to me, but I admit he is growing on me a bit. I agree, the Doobie Brothers song tonight was very good, maybe my favorite of his.

I'm rooting for Taylor, but when it comes to American pop, Kat might fit the mold a bit more.

I've been rooting for Katherine all along, but last night I found myself hoping she'd go home. She's been sort of flippant about it all lately and after what she said about her family-- "Oh, I don't really talk to them much at all"-- I was really hoping Elliott was going to surprise us all.

So it's Taylor for me-- he's been my 3rd choice (after Katherine & Chris) since the beginning and now he's grown some through the process I think and might be the one who would handle it all the best in the long run as well.

He's my choice, too. I actually can't believe he made it this far.

Elliot sucked and I freaked weekly at how much everyone loved his singing. Pffffft. With that said, I gotta go with Kat. Early on I recall saying that I thought she had the most talented voice, and would wait to see if there was anything else. Then my eyes wandered over to Pickler and I unzipped my...*cough*...never mind. :D
