In Atlanta, biz for a few days. Every time I come up here, I find it odd that I can mix the nostalgia of my favorite ex-haunts, with the dread of being here, instead of home. I don't get this dread in other places I visit.
In Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange Land", his hero, the human martian, marveled at Earth cities. Packed with people experiencing all the emotions and stress and general angst of every day life, he wondered that the cities didn't have to be abandoned from absorbing all that life experience.
Yeah, it's a lot like that.

Things up here are great. And warming up! It's 19 right now. AND, it's light until about 6:00 PM. Yay!

St Pete still has a little light left about 7:30....and I'm still impatiently waiting for the 9PM glow on the horizon. How can a guy get in a decent several hours of fishing when it gets dark only a couple hours after work? I tell ya, we can put a man on the moon, but that whole sun in the sky thing....
