Here's some pictures of the boat work:
When I first got the boat, I knew I'd have to redo the decks eventually. 15 year old carpeting and plywood were starting to get a little bad:

After Hurricane Jeanne, though, the boat filled with water and rotted out the wood a little more, as well as just plain destroyed some things.

Taking off the decks:

Two stringers (fore-and-aft next to the big silver gas tank) removed, and all the deck:

New decks, painted, new seats (handmade by me! ;), a mounted cooler, an above-deck livebait well, lots of work, and here's the result:

I have some of the sides to complete in the back, some little things like putting in flush-mount rod holders, some cleanup, I have to put in the baitwell water pump and hoses. Little jobs, but it's working at this point.

Date: 2005-01-20 09:05 pm (UTC)I'm actually fairly proud of those. The gray/white long cushion in the back, the white cushioned engine box/seat underneath it, and the leaning post (with built-in bottle/cupholders of course) behind the wheel were all made by me.
The seatcushion on the cooler came with the cooler. I'm not good enough to do piping through several layers of vinyl ;)
