Not too many trick-or-treaters tonight, but the friend's house I'm staying in is at the top of a pretty steep driveway. We tried to reward the kids that attempted it with more candy, but it's pretty daunting.

Then, my friend had a party to go to, and I went out to a local seafood restaurant (for those that keep track of things, it's the restaurant that Bobby Brown got arrested in a couple months ago). The seafood is pretty good, but I laughed when I saw the bill:

Looks like I ate half a zoo, doesn't it? A 500 pound tuna, an entire octopus, a whole grey goose, and whatever (or whoever) is Stella.

For the record, it was two kinds of sushi, a martini, and a beer.

I gotta admit, though, as much as I lovelovelove octopus, I still feel guilty about eating it. Refer to an earlier post about Catholic guilt.

Curiously, I can't picture Bobby Brown as a sushi-lover. But whatever, it's his perogative. (OK, am obviously too tired when this sort of comment slays me.)

I also enjoyed the fact that you spent more on your alcohol than on dinner! Good man!

Yeah, I don't really understand that -- fish that had to be flown in from who-knows-where vs. a drink that's poured right in front of me. The fish was raw, of course, but then again so was the vodka...

I hope Stella enjoyed your services.

You mean, you ate Stella and you have no idea who she is?

Damn.
