It's tough LJing at this job. The cubical thing just doesn't do it for me.

I don't get it. I'm driving in to work this morning, and this one station always has ads for magic herbal sex potions and X-rated bookstores. Like, this is 8AM -- my fuzzy mind is just firing enough to remember my exits, and these commercials are already questioning my performance and staying power. Is Clear Channel that hard up?

My job is right on the end of the runway of Dobbins Air Base. There are always F18s and C130s roaring around overhead, and the other day, there was actually an AWACS. Training? Or providing support for the Atlanta airport?

There's a new AM station in town that advertised "Real Music", so I tried it out. It's the most schizo station I've ever heard. They play Frank Sinatra and Duke Ellington, then they play Edie Gorme. It's good, classic stuff, followed by a large lady attempting to sit delicately on top of a cat.
