Feb. 7th, 2009 08:47 pmChristey is out with friends, and the little ones had no nap today, so they both conked out cold at 6:30, so it's just me in this big ol' house. What kinda rowdiness do I get up to?
I had a couple duck breasts sitting in the freezer chest, so I thawed and seared them, then transferred to the oven. Instead of a l'Orange, I made a lemon, honey, sugar, shallot, thyme sauce, reduced it, and added butter at the last minute. Duck breast sliced on a bias, sauce strained over the top, crispy skin, mmmmm.
Christey will eat duck breast, but it's not one of her favorites. All the more for me :)
