The biggest happy thought is that I realized that Day 8 of this meme is Friday -- when we all head out to St Pete until after the New Year. I do love me some West Coast Florida.
I'm coming along with the Christmas Eve dinner. Looks like 14 adult guests, and I have 2 courses pretty solid, another course sketched out, and an amuse (or another course) to work out. Some ingredients, I'm going to have to mail-order. I can't get Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, or buffalo short ribs around the corner, especially in a town that I'm not familiar with anymore. But, I think I'm doing okay so far. My little brother is doing dessert. It's his specialty (desserts are science, not engineering), and for this meal (14 adults, and a bunch of kids), I'll take the help.
