Well, the storm path shifted pretty close (we're at the black dot):

Nothing bad so far, just rain, and doesn't look like it's going to be anything more. The news is just calling it a "rain event" from now on. We're on the water, but a good 12 feet (3-4 meters) above the water, and with a 3 foot storm surge, we don't have to worry about flooding here.

But man, this is a slow storm. 2AM tonight/tomorrow and still on land? Slow, slow, slow.

Here's a post from outside on my deck. The early waves are hitting us, but it's still pretty mild. The bulk of the storm wall, what's left of it anyway, should hit late afternoon or this evening.

Had some serious wind, probably over 50mph/80kph. Leaves everywhere, palm fronds on the lawn. Canal is probably a foot higher than normal. We have a hickory tree next to the house that is cluster-bombing the lawn. Still have power, though half our county is out of power right now. We've had a couple little flickers. I can only get out about 1 out of 5 tries on my cellphone, I get an "all circuits busy" otherwise.

From the radar, it looks like we're almost out of the largest band, we just have the close-in winds to go after this, probably during the middle of the night.

Overall, I'd say TS/Hurricane Wilma was worse three years ago. Tropical Storm Ernesto a couple years ago was a spitball compared to this. So, probably right in the middle. This wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't so slow -- 8mph at the last tracking update.
