Well, it should be an interesting next couple days. We're where the black dot is.

We've been through worse than this one will be, and it's most likely just going to drag an edge over us. I lost count of named storms I've been in though. This will be number 15 maybe?

Hopefully we won't lose power.

So, as of 9:30pm, it's calm and quiet. We had some earlier rain, but nothing now. Out of general Floridian paranoia, I took in the potential missiles from outside (plant pots, fishing rods, the lighter deck chairs, etc), but we'll basically hunker down and wait until it's over.

Supposed to make landfall at 2AM, but that's 300 miles away. We're supposed to get up to 60MPH winds tomorrow (100KPH), but I seriously doubt it's going to happen here. But, you never know.

The thing that makes me more cautious that normal is that it's a very slow storm (it's moving at 10MPH/16KPH as opposed to the more normal 20MPH/32KPH), so any winds and rain is going to stick around for a while, and maybe cut a couple power lines. But that's just the Floridian paranoia again, and I expect to be working a normal day tomorrow.
