There's a meme/social-virus going around about gay rights. If you support Gay Rights, pass it along, yada yada yada.

My personal utopian fantasy is to strip any group identity from any law. Race, gender, sexual preference, religion, doesn't matter.

Such a law might state: Any one individual, or any number of individuals, may enter into any contract, union, medical representation, right of survivorship, power of attorney, or any other legal or civil agreement in which they, of sound mind and free of duress, may feel like making. To break such an agreement would entail the same process as any other individual or group of individuals breaking such agreements. Please pay your fees at the clerk.

And so, I've completely nitpicked to death a perfectly innocent concept, due to politics. See why large governments are evil?

In other news, Christey and I have been noticing a slowdown in the internet the last few days. I just checked out my wireless router, and lo and behold, there were two units attached to it. Since my computer goes directly into the back of the router (wired, not wireless), it looks like we might have picked up a hitchhiker.

Serves me right for not locking down the AP, but then, we're on the 7th floor, with concrete between each condo. I WEPed the sucker, and now we only have one connection attached (Christey's), so maybe our connection will go back to its breezy cablemodemness again.
