Oct. 13th, 2004 11:47 amMy life, in splintered paragraphs ;)
Hanging out with Christey, which continues to be wonderful. Went to The Castle in Ybor the other night with Christey and Larissa. Great atmosphere, though it was opaque from fog and smoke. Great videos of good ol' industrial and 80s. Reminds me of the MTV days when MTV played videos. Some random club-girl told me I look like Gary Oldman. She's not the first, and I still don't really get it, but I suppose it's better than looking like Ernest Borgnine. (I know, I know, there's always the Sean Hayes thing, too...;)

Still working on the boat. The engine works fine now, but my decks got beat up by the last four hurricanes, so I'm redoing them now that the weather is cooling off a bit. I'll have to take a before, during, and after pic -- it looks really, really bad right now (cosmetically), but I can see how it's going to look when I'm done, and I think it will look great. I'm jonesing for fishing, though, and I'm not sure I can take the boat out half-decked like this. I'll just have to work faster :)
Florida is turning into a bit of a Renaissance state. It's getting normal to see busted signs and uprooted trees everywhere, but now that people are cleaning up, buildings are being painted that haven't seen paint in years. It's a strange rebirth of the state, in the middle of lingering damage.
