Jun. 2nd, 2004 03:13 pmThis is a very special PeterMarcus post, in which I post pictures of flowers. Yes flowers -- I am, of course, a studly man, and it is common knowledge that ancient, swordfighting samurai had to be experts in flower arrangement...and...and...stop laughing.

Seriously, though, when you get home from the airport at 2AM and your cactus is blooming, you gotta take a pic. The part of the cactus in the picture is around 7' high (2 meters and change) so you can get an idea about how freaking huge these blooms are. No bats, alas.
The second pic, I was testing my new camera's extreme closeup feature on a hibiscus in my backyard and I was kinda impressed by the colors. I didn't modify this pic at all (other than shrinking it).
