Five things that 2002 taught me:
1. Time heals.
2. Don't put all your sales in one sales manager.
3. Life is truly beautiful.
4. Plan, but be prepared (so to speak) for things completely out of your control.
5. Time flies.
Five personally significant events of 2002:
1. Started my own business
2. Flew over 50,000 miles
3. Almost (but not quite) bought a boat
4. First full year on my own after my divorce. (And a good year at that.)
5. Thirty-five. Wow.
Five things I want to do in 2003:
1. Move my business from "startup" to "operating"
2. Travel to a country I've never visited
3. Travel to a state I've never visited
4. Move (at least part time) back to Florida
5. Catch (and release) a tarpon
Five things I don't want to do in 2003:
1. Stay in starving entrepreneur startup mode
2. Be out of options
3. Hurt a friend
4. Test my health insurance
5. Regret.
Five people who I'd like to know better in 2003:
1. Condi Rice
2. Elmore Leonard
3. The guys that run the drawbridge over north St. Pete Beach
4. Whoever succeeds Fidel Castro
5. You. Yes, you.
