I've been using Mozilla as a web browser lately, cuz I finally got so sick of popup ads, I figured I had to try something. It seems like almost every site on the Internet uses them! Sheesh.

Mozilla has a neat feature that turns them off. But now, there is the occasional site that needs popups to work. Yahoo's Music Video site, for example, pops up the video in a new window. Annoying. But, not annoying enough to stop using Mozilla :)

Long days, lately. It's good, though, I'm enjoying it. The stress is high, but it's good stress. It's like worrying about a race after training for months.

The major challenges are interesting -- I tackle them pretty hard and work my way through them. It's the little, tiny setbacks that annoy me.

Kind of like pop-up ads ;)

Let's get the lemming stuff out of the way....I've never done this before, but it's sounds fun. Ask me a question, and I'll answer it cryptically in another post ;)

[Poll #61274]

---------

So, I had a tough day, but it ended well. Lots of haggling with phone companies about problems, and they finally got a bunch of crap fixed. I wanted to celebrate. I hit my favorite jazz club in town and had a fantastic meal (Tuna tartar with pineapple and spicy chiles for an appetizer, plus a fantastic salmon pasta with whole cloves of roasted garlic and roasted red bell peppers tossed in a cream sauce....ahhhhh.) There was a halfway decent band playing. This place, on the weekdays, is kinda like the B-list of Atlanta jazz. But the B-list in Atlanta ain't bad, really. The lead singer was one of those multi-instrument fellows. Through the course of the last couple hours, he played jazz guitar, trumpet, and flute, and had a stack of other instruments behind him, all the while singing an upbeat bluesy jazz in between. I had a nice martini before dinner, and a Sambuca Black after dinner, which tastes exactly like a liquid black jellybean. I lovelovelove black jellybeans, but I know that's not a universal trait :) Man, I needed that. The Sambuca was really, really tiny (I asked for it that way), but I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow. All that sugar.

Heh, first round from question time:

[livejournal.com profile] canuckgirl a) 1 day b) 25 days (not that I'm counting)

[livejournal.com profile] sunshine_two Most times, I'll go with the fad for that particular choice, but without the fruity stuff. The other is a bit too dense to have too much fun with, especially if there are a lot of people around, though quality-wise it's probably the better choice!

[livejournal.com profile] macaholic Most times, I think even more so than the norm.

[livejournal.com profile] in2oblivion A couple hours ago ;) Rare, though -- I prefer something a little more mental.
