Life has been creeping up on me again. Busy at work, busy at side-jobs #2, 3, and 4, busy at play. But, good news comes along for the ride.

I have one client paying me some back cash, so I may splurge and buy myself a laptop -- I'm probably the only computer engineer on the planet without one. I have tons of computers lying around in various stages of obsolescence, but none of them are very portable. A laptop would be a nice thing to have in LA next week -- it would probably be better than sitting in the hotel bar, or ordering badly-edited Spectravision ;)

I got a feghoot published at Wrapper's online speculative humor web-zine Planet Relish, in the March issue (which may be up tonight). A feghoot is an over-the-top SciFi spoof, ending in a shameless pun. It's certainly a lot more.......um......jaunty than most of the stuff I write, but it was a helluva lot of fun :) Check it out, Wrapper publishes some good stuff.

BTW -- James Ellroy is a dark, brooding, profane, yet utterly fascinating and gripping god of the crime/mystery genre, nay of modern literature in general. Just thought I'd mention that.
