Happy V-Day

It's a foggy, hazy day here. A cargo truck launched itself across the median this morning, stalling out both directions of the beltway -- my commute in was 2 hours. Lunch was just as messed up -- 45 minutes just to run to the Subway shop and get a sandwich.

But, I'm valiently throwing off the traffic blues, because it is Valentine's Day.

Dawn and I celebrated last night -- I didn't want the chocolate to melt, so I gave her my gifts, and we decided to go out to eat last night to beat the VDay crowds tonight. We had a few drinks, and came home and spent the rest of the night in bed. It was fun.

Nikki,Topaz, Shann, and Jane, check your voice mails, I've left you Voice Mail Valentines ;) Except Nikki -- you should be asleep healing. These were the only 4 voice mails I could find on my female LJ friends -- if I missed someone, send me your voice mail number and I'll send you one, too :)

The traffic gods were really trying to pull me down today. I resisted, but this cold got me.

There's a chance this is related to getting my teeth cleaned a few days ago -- I have these impacted wisdom teeth that lately have made me prone to sore throats. The soonest my dentist could see me is tomorrow afternoon. Meanwhile, I'm raspy and tired and sore and a little dizzy. Maybe it's just the same cold that's beating down half the planet. I dunno -- I guess I find out tomorrow.
