So I got a verbal "Yes" on my first round of funding. Hopefully, it should be making a dent in my bank balance Wednesday or Thursday, at which point a third of it will rapidly disappear to past-due bills.

Then I can start worrying about my second round of funding!

I tell ya, one of the annoying things about self-employment, especially waiting for funding, is the weekends and holidays. Strange thing to say, after all the work it takes, it'd be good to get time off (and I certainly enjoy it), but when you're waiting...the weekends are just days that things don't get done.

One good thing I found, though. Since I'm in penniless-mode, I've noticed it's a good thing to be between two apartments. It was 38 (3) degrees all day today, but my apartment was 75 (24), even though the thermostat was set to 70 (21). Gotta love being a heat parasite!

I noticed that about unemployment, too. The weekends sucked cause you KNEW no one was going to call you back then! :)
