Internet Stats: Do you know we will probably hit the 1 billion internet users mark in three more years? That we're probably at a half-billion users right now? That makes me feel very strange. When I got my first personal Internet account in 1992 or so (ten years ago!), there were 15 million users. When I got my first email in college in 1986, there were less than 5 million users, almost all students and eggheads, and there was no world wide web yet. I remember participating in a raging, flaming USENET debate in 1987 whether the Star Trek USENET list should split into TOS and TNG, and whether it would be a waste of internet resources to have two newsgroups.
So, I've spent a good chunk of the weekend researching market forecasts for international telephone usage. My brain hurts, but I think I finally got all the business stats I need to just about finish this business plan.
I saw XXX last night. Good, very mindless, fun. Stephanie is right -- he kisses like a duck.
