To my spanish speaking friends out there...

In English, the "#" key on the phone is generally accepted to be "the pound key" even though it's real name is "octothorpe". Does that key have a generally accepted name in Spanish?

Thanks

EDIT:

Also, the "*" is usually called "the star key". Is that estrella in spanish, or is there a generally more accepted term when it refers to the telphone keypad?

*fingers crossed*

Does Mexico have those annoying phone trees? Like "Press 1 for sales, press 2 for customer support" when someone calls? If so, do they use the # button? Is there even a # button on Mexican phones? I don't remember.

Thanks Ly :) I'm working on a potential latin american customer for a phone system.
