My martini tastes like paint thinner.

I don't like gin, never have. I'm out of my favorite vodka (Stoli--the Russian in me). I'm out of my next favorite vodka (Absolute). All I have, in the very back of my liquor shelf, is Popov. Not bad in other things (like punch), but not too good with just a mist of vermouth.

I know, tough life, but it's either post this or the golf rant I have brewing, and my martini is probably more palatable. Even if it isn't ;-P
