Stupid article:
Dangerous Objects Still Allowed on Planes. No one is going to hijack a plane with a walking cane, especially in America. We watch far too much football for that -- it's one thing to tackle a person with a switchblade, it's another to tackle someone with a big stick they can't even swing in a cockpit. Are terrorists going to whittle a cane down to a sharp point with the plastic knives you get in First Class?
Keep in mind, the AP also had a story in 2001 which implied that banning saftey razors and eyelash curlers was a sign of, if not outright paranoia, mere banning of objects for appearances sake as opposed to the sake of safety.
And the really stupid thing is...I have to fly tomorrow, and this story hits CNN because some AP writer is looking for a headline. Do you know how annoying airline security is going to be this weekend?

In better news...I saw it! I ran into Clearwater today at lunch for some errands, and spun by the harbor. The Nina was there! So I did the tour and it was a cool little ship. I don't think I could see travelling two months across the Atlantic in it in the late 15th century...it looks like any decent wave might swamp it. Very nicely built, though!

I haven't been around one since I nearly yanked all of the eyelashes from my right eye-lid when the damn thing got stuck one day. A form of self-abuse, if you ask me.
;) <--- (This is not me winking. It's and accidental eye poke)

eye-hairs should only be changed by the trained...

Woman go through too much suffering to look "beautiful" in the traditional American sense.
Personally (and recognizing the fact that I am giving out way too much information in a man's journal), waxing doesn't work...It must be the Hungarian/Rumanian in me. Still have to pluck the bushels that make up my brows. (*cringe)
