Meta turned 3 last Friday and is going to break my heart someday. I wasn't going to post about this, but Christey says I have to :)
So, Meta and Julian are now syncing up their naps. Julian used to be a morning napper and Meta was an afternoon napper, but Julian is firmly in the afternoon now. Sometimes they nap in their room at the same time, but a lot of the time they just play, so we let Meta nap in the guest room while Julian naps in his bed. If Meta doesn't want to nap, then either Christey or I will lie down with her until she falls asleep (Julian falls asleep like someone throwing a switch). Yesterday, I was with her when she fell asleep. About 90 minutes later she comes back downstairs, dragging her feet. I asked if she was okay, then she hesitated a couple times, then threw out this huge sentence: "You ran away. You lay down with me in the bed and I fell asleep and I woke up and you not there and I tried to cry." She's good with language, but that was probably one of the most complex emotional and linguistic stream of consciousness she's ever done. As well as one of those "awwwww" moments, so I was proud and sad at the same time.
