Nov. 20th, 2008 10:49 pmThere's a blogger contest for food bloggers, sponsored by POM Wonderful, the leading producers of pomegranates and pomegranate juices. Typical Iron Chef contest -- come up with a meal/drink using pomegranates.
They were kind enough to send me a case of 100% pomegranate juice, and once I tried it, I figured reducing it with chicken stock would make a seriously tasty sauce. I was originally thinking something exotic like venison, but I ended up doing seared duck breast, as it's a little more accessible, and it's a great ingredient this time of year.
