I'm part of a group of foodies who compete in a friendly competition once a month, to create a meal based on three ingredients. Sorta like Iron Chef, but you have a month to come up with something.
This month's ingredients were:
* Fennel (in any form)
* Dairy (in any form)
* Parsley
It was a tough set of ingredients this time. I made my attempt last night.
For my entry, I seared buffalo cubes with fennel bulb, shiitake mushrooms, and shallots, and covered with a béarnaise made with fennel and parsley instead of the traditional tarragon and chervil. I placed the food on a savory crêpe made with fennel and parsley.
