What is it with Top Chef this season and all the catering. I mean, yeah, chefs cater. Even big, famous chefs cater. But, while Wolfgang Puck is catering the Oscars after-party, these guys are cooking for neighborhoods, football fans, suburban family units, and now cops. Where's the showing off of high-end cuisine? Of pushing the limits of gourmet food? If Bravo really wants to attract the health-conscious, eat-smarter crowd, why don't they have a Top Nutritionist show instead and give the butter and creme fraiche back to the Chefs?
All that might be put on hold next week when it looks like the teaser will bring back Restaurant Wars. I was really mad last week when they said they were going to cancel the best known, and most fun challenge of all and replace it with Wedding Wars (another catering event, though at least more high-end). However, teams of 3 in Restaurant Wars next week should be interesting.
