Apr. 29th, 2005 03:08 pmIt is definitely full-on Spring here, and possibly into early summer. Just about every bird, from the mockingbirds to the herons, are courting and mating. Christey and I saw a bizarre lizard ritual yesterday. Baitfish and tiny gamefish are cruising the water. Everything is alive and growing with the almost dangerous enthusiasm of life in the tropics.
I finally had to punt one of my side-jobs. Sucks, as I had some hopes for it, but it was becoming a money pit, and when one of my machines went down again, I figured it was fate and I should just cut and run.
Heading to Atlanta Sunday night for a few days of biz with the dayjob. Things looking good there, at least.
I'm still loving the atmosphere of that crow game at the http://www.theskeletonshop.com/ site. It's one of the best implementations of Flash that I have seen. Not just blocky cartoon characters, there's an elegance in its subtlety. It's even monochrome, but it's beautiful. Especially when you click the symbol at the right of the game and launch the gothi-electronica soundtrack.
