Mar. 10th, 2005 09:30 amSo, after the travel wound down, it's just been task-switching from one thing to another. Got a couple side-jobs going, though one is probably just about dead and the other is going well, but I won't see too much from it.
I've been working on the boat some more -- changed the prop, spark plugs, and fuel filter, and it's starting to hum along pretty well. I've been offshore, fishing a few times when the seas are cooperating. What I really need to do is haul the thing out at a marina and scrape the bottom. Maybe put on a good coat of bottom paint. The boat has barnacles from sitting in the water for so long when I was working on the decks. My speed and mileage is not what it should be. Seas are forecast to be 3-5' this weekend, though, so maybe I'll fix up some electric work...the lights aren't working, and I need those if I want to boat in the evening.
Last weekend was fun, though. Fishing about 18 miles out, among big container ships waiting for clearance to go into Tampa Bay. Then Sunday, Christey and I took the boat to McDonalds for breakfast. Yes, there's a McDonalds nearby that has a dock for boaters. Only in Florida ;)
