Feb. 6th, 2004 10:18 amToday's Friday Five, composed by Tonya no less! (if you couldn't guess by the questions...)
1. What's the most daring thing you've ever done?
The single most daring act itself was probably bungee jumping from a crane, from 300 feet. I thought it might cure my acrophobia. I think it made it worse.
2. What one thing would you like to try that your mother/friend/significant other would never approve of?
Hmmm. I'd ride the Space Shuttle tomorrow, if they would let me. Maybe sail around the world...though I suppose I'd have to learn to sail (I don't really see that as an obstacle.)
3. On a scale of 1-10, what's your risk factor? (1=never take risks, 10=it's a lifestyle)
8. But it comes and goes in waves.
4. What's the best thing that's ever happened to you as a result of being bold/risky?
I moved to Atlanta more or less on impulse 10 or so years ago. Quit my job and was up there in about a month. I thought I might have a lead on a job, but it fell through six hours after I arrived. I ended up getting a job somewhere else that happened to be in the field/industry at which I'm now something of an expert. Most of my career was formed by that one move.
5. ... and what's the worst?
A failed attempt at entrepreneuring a year or so ago. And even then, the project isn't dead (in fact, lately it's been picking up again) But at the time, it pretty much messed my life up completely.
