It's a cool and rainy day, kinda blah. I've done some work this weekend, and I think I may be caught up, in both the day job and my own stuff. I considered heading down to Ft Myers with my fishing rod, but warm and rainy isn't much better than cool and rainy.

I think I'll be reading, maybe play around a bit on the computer. Blah weather calls for indoor activities...nothing wrong with that at all, but it's the limiting of choices that bugs me on days like today.

Never mind!

The sun peeked out of the clouds for a while, and even though it was still a little chillier than I care for, the sun was warm, the water in my backyard was glass-calm, and the wild parrots were out preening and making a racket.

The guy across the canal was washing his sailboat -- a weekly chore of his given the bird traffic in the neighborhood. No sooner did he finish than an osprey flew to the top of his mast, to survey the area and, no doubt, to re-mark his territory.

I caught a couple pinfish -- junk fish, really. I like them for bait more than the sport. A three and a half foot tall Blue Heron was watching me, fascinated as always by a birds-eye comprehension of human fishing. I tossed her one of my pinfish, and she flew off to a neighbor's yard to spear it a few times, toss it down her throat, and wash it down with some pool-water, diluted by the recent rain.
