"Look, I'm not a perfect person. I have my warts. I sometimes say things that get me in trouble. I wear suits that are cheap. But I say what I think and I believe what I say, and I'm willing to say things that are not be popular but ordinary people know are right. In other words, I lead with my heart and not my head. That's the only chance we have against George Bush."
--Howard Dean

Sorry, Howard. The average American's heart is generally with Bush -- scenes like the 9/11 speech with the fire chief, and ducking into Baghdad for Thanksgiving resonate strongly. It's what comes out of Bush's mouth that leads most dislike of him, from truthfulness to speechmaking abilities (or the lack of either). In other words, average voters like Bush's heart, but they don't trust his head. That's one of Bush's main public image problems -- he says what he thinks and believes what he says. So, in essence, Dean is trying to beat Bush by being Bush (politics aside), and I think Iowa shows this. Pogo Possum, anyone?

At this point, I'm betting Kerry gets the Dem nod.

Biz is coming along, things are a little easier today than the last couple. Four more days until I'm home, though.
