Two days before Christmas and it's already 61(16) degrees, forecast to 73(23), the sun is bright, the water is flat as glass. Lizards are sunning themselves on my patio, and green parrots are chirping from the powerlines.

I want to join them, but I have to work another couple days. Maybe I can take a looooong lunch.

So, I thought I was done Christmas shopping, but I was in the mall helping my sister shop, and I picked up a few more things. I got this great bohemian outfit for my 4-month old niece -- a black mock-turtleneck with silver snaps, and black pants with a cute flare in the legs. I thought the best accessory would be a black beret (no Monica jokes, please) but I couldn't find one. I am, in fact, searching the web in another browser trying to locate one. I have seen a couple online, but I don't think I trust shipping one by Thursday no matter what the website says. So, I'm trying to find a brick-and-mortar that advertises online so I can pick one up tomorrow. Gymboree has red ones, which might go with the black, but I'd rather have the black. I'll pop over to Tampa tomorrow to get that one if I can't find one anywhere else.

I mean, hey. It's coming from me, so it's gotta be all black. (Even though I've kinda gotten out of the all-black thing the last couple years)

I'm also food shopping for the Christmas feast thing. Just a couple more ingredients, and I'm set, but I'm also having a hard time finding a good butcher in Tampa Bay. I haven't lived here long enough to find where I can get good meat, especially the specialty stuff like buffalo.

I would have liked to have grabbed another day of work tomorrow -- my bank account needs it -- but looks like I'm going to be running around all day, and I have family starting to trickle in tomorrow night.
