Nov. 6th, 2003 09:27 amWhen I was taking flying lessons, I had to plot courses for cross-country (50+ nautical mile) trips. My instructor showed me how to study before each trip to find potential weather systems, find navigational waypoints, skirt geographic features, and pick altitudes.
One thing I'm not going to miss about Atlanta is the morning "study" during the first few minutes of my commute, flipping AM and FM stations to get the traffic reports and plotting the best way to get to work.
