Australians consider burying as much CO2 as they produce to balance greenhouse gas emissions

What a cool, cool idea. We bury garbage (human waste). We bury toxic waste. We bury nuclear waste. Why not bury greenhouse gases? We can refine them right out of the air with a little heat pump.... I wonder if the power necessary to extract and bury CO2 might offset the gains. But what an interesting idea these crazy Aussies have come up with!

I think my Weather Pixie (on my info page) is Canadian. Who would wear short sleeves in 54 degree weather? He's been wearing shorts in the low 60s, too. He knows my zip code, doesn't he know I'm a warm-blooded soul?
