And the most politically astute...
Dec. 20th, 2002 11:58 am...among those who answered my LJ Poll is none other than
canuckgirl, who was off on her guess by a mere 2 hours.
2nd place was
wbahner, off by 17.5 hours. I came in 3rd, off by 18.5 hours (
wbahner pulling off a neat Price is Right tactic over me ;-P )
At approximately 11AM EST, Lott resigned as majority leader, though he will keep his position as Senator from Mississippi. Perhaps he should be out of the Senate altogether, along with former-KKK democrat Byrd from West Virginia, and half the rest of the Senate with skeletons in their closets. Or even their living rooms.
Personally, I'm happy with him where he is, as a reduced-power drone, trying to figure out how to save his own skin, rather than poking his nose into others'.
