Drove to Macon (about an hour or so south of ATL) this afternoon -- my brother and his girlfriend were having a cookout. Ah, the taste of charcoaled beef on a bun.

On the drive down, a redtailed hawk swooped down right between me and the car ahead of me, and pounced on some rodent in the grassy area between highway lanes. It was fun to watch. Some good flying.

At a Democratic dinner here tonight, Gore sharply challenged the success of Bush's war on terrorism, noting that "they haven't gotten Osama bin Laden or the al Qaeda operation." He also accused the president of allowing his political team "to use the war as a political wedge to divide America."

Of course, if Gore had won the election, bin Laden would be dead, al Qaeda would be gone, and Gore would never allow his political team to use war as a political wedge.

Yep.
