Apr. 28th, 2002 06:46 pmWent to the Atlanta Renaissance Festival yesterday. I've never been to one, it was very fun. I threw axes at a target. I missed. I tried some archery, and did much better. Actually, pretty damn good considering I haven't picked up a bow since Jr. High, something like 20 years ago.
I've been thinking. I've carefully considered all the work I've been doing, both dayjob and side-jobs. I've come to the conclusion that I need a vacation. Another month, I think, and I can get away for three or four days. I've been browsing tropical locations. I love the power of the Internet, allowing a small boat rental/charter company to come to my attention that, under other conditions, I might not know even existed. However, I keep switching off between laughing and cringing at the grammar. I mean, I'm not always one to talk. LJ, as I like to think, is a beautiful way to freeze one's intimate thoughts and musings in permanent rough draft. If I were to advertise my charter business on the internet, however, I would check my copy a bit: "A large boat is much less effected by waves" and "Sail with us as we pry the same waters as the pirates of old" are two groaners I've seen in the last 15 minutes.
