In Boston, the streets are covered with drifts of a white, powdery substance. Contrary to what might immediately come to mind, the white, powdery substance is road salt left over from the winter.
In Atlanta, the streets are covered with drifts of a yellow, powdery substance. This is exactly what one fears it to be -- pollen.
