Mar. 11th, 2002 11:22 amI was supposed to fly out early Saturday. I almost never use an alarm clock, I'm pretty good about waking up on time, but I wasn't going to trust myself to 5:30 in the morning on a Saturday. Then I slept through it anyway.
So I'm zipping through downtown ATL Sat morning at 80 MPH, knowing I'm not going to make the flight, hoping that it is delayed. I get there, and the flight is delayed, by 10 minutes. Which was 5 minutes from when I walked in the door. No way I'm getting through Atlanta security in 5 minutes. Luckily, there was another flight a couple hours later, and I was in Florida by noon.
Got some sun, got some surf, no real luck on the fishing. It was stingray mating season, and that's all I caught. Next month the beach will be littered with mermaid's purses. It's a transition period, high wind and waves as the Gulf Stream readjusts itself, and the fishing is usually poor in early Spring. Saw a couple man-o-war bubbles on the beach, which is a good sign that warmer water is on the way.
Didn't catch up at all on LJ, sorry if I missed anything!
