Nov. 14th, 2001 06:40 pmBoston pushed off a day, but I may lose a weekend day because of it. *grumble*
'Tis the busy season. All my clients are scrambling to get me to get stuff done before Thanksgiving. I have one engineer who is taking three weeks off (to get married -- the nerve of some slackers). Christmas lights are already up at the malls. There's a hospital next to one of the major highways that always puts up a huge, green, conical tree on the roof every year. I think they're very early this year -- it's already up. I can understand the malls; the economy is sketchy, no one knows which way we'll lean, so the malls are trying to get a jump start. Not sure about the hospital, though, I can't imagine they're drumming up business. Maybe a "good cheer" kinda thing after 9-11?
