Happy Birthday diversify!!!

Terry is a wonderful photographer, she has an instinctive eye for composition, shade, and effect. She can be shocking or tender, usually with a beautiful, understated subtlety, unlike many wanna-be artists that club you over the head with their work.

Here is my favorite photo of hers. The contrast of lines draws the eye. There is a double mix of man-made and natural -- the living tree before the man-made wooden fence. The artist, a beautiful, natural woman, with the man-made hair color and piercing. Her expression, wistful, her posture may be one of hiding, yet the relaxed fingers against the trunk betray this.

So my brother calls me yesterday, asking if I can help him move his stuff into his girlfriend's place. Since he helped me move, and I helped him move before that, and he helped me move before that....

Anyway, I helped him move today. I'm sore -- he has some heavy stuff. He lives in Macon, about an hour and a half south of here. The drive home was okay, but I stiffened up big time.

Beer. Beer good.
