Oct. 18th, 2001 06:34 pmYa know, I really shouldn't like Limp Bizkit. But I do. I dunno what it is. The white rap wannabe bands are usually so [pick one: laughable/sad/annoying/all of the above]. And Durst has this Marilyn Manson like aura of "Yeah, I look and act like a jerk, but I know exactly how to pry that last $15 out of your parents so you can give it straight to my record company."
One thing I respect about them is that even though they have a DJ scratcher, they also had a decent drummer and guitarist, and had some original music rather than sampling and regurgitating the catchiest snips from the 80s.
Now that their guitarist split, I'm actually wondering how that's gonna change their sound. I'm wondering if Borland is going to do something interesting, or if Limp Bizkit is going to change their act a bit. I'm really thinking about it.
