Mar. 16th, 2001 05:21 pmWhat is on my desk, you ask? Well, maybe you don't ask, but it's been going around LJ.
I'm at work, and on my desk is:
2 pads of paper
3 black Pilot Precise rolling ball pens (fine)
2 pads of PostIt Notes(tm), small size and wide size
1 PC computer running Win2K against my will (currently typing on it)
1 IBM ThinkPad laptop (playing random MP3s)
1 17" monitor
1 mouse
1 Heavy Truck Shock Absorber mousepad (don't ask -- it was here long before me and I haven't replaced it)
10 CDs of various software
1 Scotch Tape (tm) dispenser
1 set of small computer speakers (broken)
1 set of medium computer speakers (working, but staticky)
1 box Kleenex
3 Phone-Call messages with phone numbers of people I have to call back.
74 (I counted) business cards of people I currently do business with, people I did business with, people I will eventually do business with, and people I will never do business with (but keep the card anyway cuz you never know).
1 set keys
1 cell phone (email me and I'll give you the number)
1 very cheap and scratched pair sunglasses
1 hacky-sack with someone phone company's logo on it (from the LA conference)
2 brochures about the conference I'm going to next month in Barcelona
Dozens of printed airline schedules as I'm trying to figure out how to get there
2 software manuals for Dialogic telephony cards
2 design documents for current projects
2 timesheets from employees (I should have 6 -- why doesn't anyone fill out timesheets?)
1 punchdown tool for a 66-block (acting as a paperweight)
I may have more, but I would have to move everything to find out what is lurking there.
