Barcelona

Looks like I might have to be in Barcelona next month to schmooze potential customers. I'm not fighting this one at all :) I have to come in under a travel budget, so I'm busy on Travelocity trying to find the best deal. So far, it seems if I fly out a couple days early (to acclimate to jetlag, of course), I could probably spend a couple days in London or Paris or Amsterdam, then jet off to Spain for biz. I lovelovelove London....Paris is probably my absolute favorite city on the continent...and I've never been to Amsterdam.

Language may have a bit to do with my itinerary.

I get by in Spanish (though the Spanish I speak is a Latin American hodgepodge -- as different from Spain Spanish as Australian is to American).

I speak no French, but I get along fine in Paris as long as I ignore the Parisian sneers (for some reason, I'm always mistaken for being English).

I speak no Dutch, very little German, smoke no grass (I'm tragically allergic), visit no prostitutes (I'm married and a faithful Leo, flirting aside). I know that's not all Amsterdam is, but hey, I'm a natural tourist.

I speak American, which can get me around London, even though it's not really the same dialect when spoken.

Oh Yeah....

...I'm also eating Marshmallow Peeps. I cut the wrapper before I went to LA, so they're just perfect state of stale right now --nicely chewy :)

Can life get any better?
