The weather outside is frightful

It's snowing. There's a half inch on the ground. I thought I moved to the South to avoid this stuff, but there it is.

I'm not a winter person. I went to college in upstate NY, outside of Albany, with -20F February temps. Two out of the five years I was there, we had more snow than Buffalo. Beating Buffalo in snow accumulation takes a lot of determined work by Mother Nature.

I got my first post-college job in Boca Raton, Florida, and sat out winter for three years, except for a two-week trip to Paris.

Time to start a fire in the fireplace....

Somewhere in my past is a 20-something quasi-punk, quasi-industrial, quasi-gothic underground kinda guy. Maybe some quasi-poseur in there too. He's laughing at my yuppie ass now.

Today I have bought a lint brush.
