Let's play "Count the Cliches!"
Oct. 20th, 2000 07:44 pmThe start of 3 Doors Down's "Kryptonite":
I took a walk around the world to ease my troubled mind
I left my body laying somewhere in the sands of time
I watched the world float to the dark side of the moon
I feel there is nothing I can do....yeah!
Okay, so the band's music isn't too bad, in a Def Lepard glam-metal kinda pop way. But I cringe every time the song starts. I count at least six cliches in the first four lines, including the glam-metal standard "yeah!".
